My oldest sons best friend was killed in an ambush 5 years ago three days before he and his wife found out they would be having their first child to this day the sorrow is still there it's like a part of my son died that night it also brought home what could happen to their Dad. But he loves his job so all I can do is support him and pray that he will always be safe |

Both my friend and nephew are Detectives and do not wear the policeman's uniforms most of the time, unless they are helping with duties requiring uniformed policemen. Couple of weeks ago, they had to help with a yearly boat races we have around here. Its a big event and Boat Racers from all over the country come here for that leg of the National competition, so both had to wear their uniforms. My nephew's partner was killed in an accident last year by a woman who was not paying attention. So that entire weekend was very sad for our Police Dept. I'm just glad these two do not wear the uniform and drive unmarked cars....call me selfish. |
