Both my friend and nephew are Detectives and do not wear the policeman's uniforms most of the time, unless they are helping with duties requiring uniformed policemen. Couple of weeks ago, they had to help with a yearly boat races we have around here. Its a big event and Boat Racers from all over the country come here for that leg of the National competition, so both had to wear their uniforms. My nephew's partner was killed in an accident last year by a woman who was not paying attention. So that entire weekend was very sad for our Police Dept. I'm just glad these two do not wear the uniform and drive unmarked cars....call me selfish. |

I'm sick of seeing his badge covered in a black stripe the sadness on his face everytime another brother is killed. Some might not like this but I'm at a point I say shoot first ask questions after don't take the chance his life matters. |

He brought me breakfast and a Starbucks coffee mixture (which I hate Starbucks and have never shared with him...*laffs*) I tried to drink that ewww Starbucks mixture and talk to him. I don't think he noticed I really was not drinking it. Just listening to his thoughts about all this, made me sadder. I just kept thinking...what if!! He just left to go get some rest and I'm going to close the CD Auctons to get my mind to stop thinking. |

I did not sleep much last night, just thinking what our country has come to. I have friends in Dallas who have policemen in their families and just the not knowing was driving me nuts. I finally contacted them this morning and their loved ones are physically OK....but emotionally they are not. Please keep Texas in your prayers and also the two men who lost their lives in MN & LA. Something has to change!! I don't know having a BF in the police dept is such a good thing....but then I have a nephew who is a policeman also. My heart is so heavy and I need to stop cyring.... |

We do not have an interstate near us and I think that is what keeps us isolated from it getting any bigger. They keep saying they are trying to get an interstate come through and people just don't like that. We either have to travel 100 miles North or South in order to get to an interstate....but the scenery is beautiful just getting there....*grins* |
