August 26, 2017, 02:27:52 pm Lisa says: just got a call from my brother and he works for AEP...he is taking several crews to help with the thousands who have lost power.  We always worry when they have to do that.  He has no idea where they will end at.  They have just been told where command station is and then they will be assigned locations to go to.  They always worry they will be assigned somewhere where all the hotels are gone or damaged or no water or working rest rooms....*laffs*  He has traveled all the southern states from TX to FL when disasters happen.  I tell him he should be used to it.  But we still worry about all of them.

Texas is beautiful, its the tropical part of Texas, but I don't know if I would like living there.  Great to visit though when a nasty hurricane is not visiting.  I will close the auctions later this afternoon, hopefully get all the PM info ASAP so I can tag and start a new Auction.

August 25, 2017, 04:24:15 pm Lisa says: Just letting everyone know about what is going on.  We've had lots of rain all week long and its pouring right now...nothing to do with the hurricane.  BUT some of the maps I have been looking at on the Weather Channel show us on the edge of the aftermath of the hurricane.  If it makes it to our neck of the woods it will mean lots of more rain.  I am hoping and praying that will not happen.  My sister that lives in Corpus Christi should be here pretty soon I hope, she left Corpus early this morning.  So if I go missing....you will know something happen....lots of rain and maybe no wind though!!
